All of our beads are handcut and drilled with our Imahashi USD-150C Ultrasonic Drilling Machine. This ensures a smoother bore-hole than diamond or lazer can provide, and means the "hole" will not abrade your chain, leather, hemp string, or whatever so fast. Don't make the mistake of thinking that ANY beads won't wear on their strand. Think ahead. All great bead strands will eventually have to be re-strung, if you want your grandchild to wear them.
